Perce Quebec

In the summer of 2003 my wife and I vacationed in Perce, Quebec, Canada. This has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth, however, few people seem to know it exists other than people that live in Quebec Province. This is the place where the appalachian mountains reach the Atlantic ocean. Geographically the most prominent and breathtaking features of this place is a tall island of rock in the bay.

The color of the island changes often depending on how the sunlight reflects off the island.
The following picture is taken from Bonaventure Island, which is provincial park.

The following picture shows both Perce Island and Bonaventure Island.
Ferries are available hourly from Perce to Bonaventure Island. The following picture is taken from the Ferry toward the back side of the island.
A hike across the island leads you to an incredible sight of tens of thousands gannets in their nesting grounds.
